Off site exhibition

One of the school assignments was to do an off site exhibition with a group. We had to form groups, come up with a theme, hire a venue, set up the show and invite people.

Our theme was Embodiment.

We hired a venue at 40 St Peters Street in Shoreditch and set up our work. Most people used the theme in quite a loose way, which is good if you are doing a show in conceptual-art-loving-London.

As you can see in the picture below, quite a few people showed up and it was a great success.

My work consisted of three nature paintings with a pile of animal bones underneath them. If you like searching meaning behind art you could say the work represents the relationship between the waste of the body and the bloom of nature, where they feed on each other. Otherwise you could just say they are nice pictures to look at. On the left you see my work in the show, on the right how I documented it.
